Responsibilities of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate a bill of material, including shop instructions, using standard and custom designed parts for the project, incorporating all job requirements
  • Perform basic ASME design calculations for the pressure boundaries of a pump, including bolting and other calculations that may be required in designing a centrifugal pump
  • Perform calculations of shaft stresses, key stresses, pump axial and radial thrust loads, and other calculations as required for specifying drive train components
  • Order all required castings and long lead items
  • Manage project timelines according to equipment delivery
  • Work with factory personnel to provide or acquire all appropriate documentation for submittals and final manuals
  • Create, review, and approve engineering drawings required for the project or product development
  • Write engineering standards, procedures, and equipment manuals
  • Communication and support of sales efforts, which may include travel
  • Support for continuing improvement in quality system and end product
  • Any other projects as may be assigned by the Engineering Supervisor


Qualifications of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • 1-3 years of applicable fluid handling equipment
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, motors) and fabricated pumping systems
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Well organized and self motivated
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project management experience and team work skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
