Job Description


Supervises and manages the construction and installation of all signal and flasher projects in accordance with FRA rules and regulations. Will play a principle role in planning from project initiation to commissioning and will work across multiple department lines to ensure the successful completion of quality projects safely, on time, and within budget. Also implements and manages safety goals for the personal safety of subordinates.


  • Ensures signal construction work is coordinated with other departments, railroads, state, federal, and local agencies;

  • Audits safety compliance and monitors productivity on construction jobs;

  • Reviews circuit plans and participates in the planning, installation, and cutover of the signal systems;

  • Reviews and enters FRA test reports and hours of service into the database each month;

  • Exemplify KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.


  • High School Diploma - General Studies;

  • 5 years Railroad experience;

  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Ten years experience preferred Project management.
